** Paul-Elie Ranson est un peintre et graveur français du XIXème siècle. Il est l’un des cinq membres fondateurs du groupe des Nabis créé en 1888. Il est surnommé Nabi plus japonard que le Nabi japonard (alias Pierre Bonnard). Son tableau Les canards, peint vers 1894/95, est exposé au Musée des beaux-arts de Quimper, le papier peint au-dessus de la cheminée lui fait référence.
